Chatsworth House, Used as Pemberley - the fictional country estate owned by Fitzwilliam Darcy in Pride and Prejudice and also the setting for 2008 movie 'The Duchess', with beautiful gardens, farmyard and adventure playground. The house is always decorated stunningly for Christmas; there are also cafes, restaurants, gift shops and a separate garden centre - (12 miles).

Hardwick Hall, the ancestral home of Bess of Hardwick (8 miles). The Hardwick Inn Pub, a traditional old pub in the grounds of the hall with homemade pies and real ale.
